Elevate Your Voice is a five-week singing and performance program created for people who love to sing and want to develop their voice with intention.

This program suits singers who already feel comfortable using their voice and are curious about what it could become with the right guidance, structure and encouragement.

You don’t need to be a trained singer or have choir experience. What matters most is that you enjoy singing, can hold a part, and are open to learning. Across five weeks, you’ll sing alongside Mixed Vocal Project, learn new repertoire, build vocal confidence, and experience what it’s like to be part of a committed vocal ensemble. For some, it will simply be a great learning experience. For others, it may become the beginning of their journey with MVP.

Is this program for you?

 
Elevate Your Voice may be a great fit if you:
  • Enjoy singing and feel comfortable using your voice
  • Can generally match pitch and hold your vocal line
  • Haven’t sung for a while but miss it and want to reconnect
  • Have sung casually, in bands, ensembles or choirs in the past
  • Want to build technique, confidence and performance skills
  • Have experience singing harmony and are interested in working towards a high-standard chorus environment
You do not need formal training, strong music theory knowledge, or prior choir experience. The program is designed to help you grow from where you are now.
 


What happens after the program?

 
At the end of Elevate Your Voice, participants are invited to audition for Mixed Vocal Project if they wish. Auditioning is optional and there is no expectation that everyone will.
The audition is friendly, supportive and designed to help us understand how your voice fits within the chorus. You will:
  • Sing one or two short excerpts from songs you’ve already learned during the program
  • Sing alongside others, not alone on stage
  • Receive clear guidance on what to prepare
  • Be supported by the Music Team throughout the process
Possible outcomes include:
  • An invitation to join MVP
  • An invitation to return for another attempt with feedback
  • A recommendation to continue developing your voice before re-auditioning
